I’m house and cat-sitting for a friend who has gone on a 5-week holiday and today, I went for a little walk up and down the Maupuia Walkway (from Akaroa Drive to Prison Road – Yes, it really is called Prison Road). It’s my adventure for the day.
Within minutes of entering the walkway, I as treated to a spectacular view of Evan’s Bay Parade however, what struck me the most on that short hike was the plant life.
The flowers were just amazing! It’s not that I haven’t seen flowers before, it’s just so nice to see them just growing in the wild.
If the sun continues to show its face this week (and my health improves even more), I hope to be able to take more photos of Wellington. I have been meaning to do that but, foul weather (among other things) has prevented me from doing so in the past.
PS. Sadly, very few photos from the farm. Not only was the weather horrible (cold and wet), I also caught a strange virus which has rendered me practically useless.
